Barge of the Month – April – sb Kitty

The third of our series  of pictures and information from the SSBR Calendar  which was published in 2017.   April’s barge is sb Kitty.

Kitty of Harwich, Official Number 105418, built 1895 at Harwich, Essex, for HF Horlock.  Based at Maldon, Essex, it had been planned to move Kitty to North Fambridge by now but, in the light of the Coronavirus lockdown, it was decided she would stay at Maldon for the time being.

UPDATE  –  Having stayed at Maldon during the lockdown, Kitty finally left Hythe Quay on 16th July and is now settling in at North Fambridge.
